As a designer I completely favour unusual and off the wall and like to produce things that may be a little bit wild but are still commercial and wearable! I love to look for inspiration in absolutely every nook and cranny sometimes taking ideas from something as simple as the tiles on the floor and get incredible excited whenever a new idea for anything comes along. I'd like to think that my personality shows through into most the things I create and never feel satisfied until something is exactly as I want it! I am Kayleigh Wright is my personal brand and at the moment I'm producing handmade and mostly one off products with an edgy unique feminine feel. The current Summer 13 collection is inspired by the Urban Sports Luxe trend that’s been dominating the New York catwalk mixed with a little bit of a powerful girly edge. Using a fairly subdued colour palette of lilac, purple, pink and blue the pieces are designed to be mixed and matched with one another in the style of a capsule wardrobe. The garments of the collection are all created entirely from recycled shirts that were not fit for resale in a charity store and so there is absolutely no waste or cost to production. Equally the accompanying jewellery and accessories are eco-friendly being created from materials that would otherwise be waste products. As the brand is currently being launched I'm also creating a space for myself within the world of social media having made Facebook and Twitter pages and producing a blog all promoting exciting movements to the brand, photos of the collection what's going on so watch this space!
