my collection first began to take form from my initial research of vintage and modern styled vintage. The use of certain fabrics,silhouettes and traditional tailoring immediately drew my focus, as well as the concept of make do and mend.
Using donated garments and left over fabric from my personal stock, i looked at creating different full looks consitiing of a mixture garments; from jackets to skirts and tunic style shirt dresses.
the idea was to appeal to the type of woman that has a strong individual style, knows how to stand out and be proud of it as well as having a keen eye for quality and craftsmanship.
it was essential to me that my limited collection showed my interest in vintage fashion and traditional construction but also more importantly expressed my understanding of contemporary fashion and the student shopper of today.
